We, the family of the late Ellen Lynch, would like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised and extended their condolences to us on our recent bereavement.

Thank you to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent cards and messages, and gave donations in lieu of the Castlederg Patients’ Comfort Fund.

Our sincere appreciation to our extended family, neighbours, and friends who assisted during the wake and to all those who generously provided and brought food to the home.

To all Ellen’s carers, district nurses, rapid response nurses, Marie Curie nurse, Cancer Centre Altnagelvin, we are so grateful for your help and for the care, dignity, and compassion shown to Ellen throughout her illness.

A word of thanks also to the doctors and staff at Castlederg Group Surgery. To Mary Donaghy and her staff at Donaghy’s Chemist Castlederg for their help and kindness shown to Ellen over the past years.

Our sincere appreciation to Fr Paul Fraser, Fr Thomas Canning, and Fr John Gilmore who visited Ellen and administered sacraments at home, which gave us all great comfort and support. Also to Monsignor Andy Dolan, Fr Peter Mc Cawille, Fr Patsy Arkinson, and Fr Thomas Canning for calling to the family home during the wake.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped in any way with the funeral arrangements and especially Fr Thomas Canning for celebrating the Requiem Mass. Thanks to Rois for the beautiful music. Thanks also to Veronica, Danny, and the Eucharistic Ministers.

A special word of thanks to Charles Lynch Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which Ellen’s funeral arrangements were carried out. Thank you to the grave diggers for preparing Ellen’s final resting place. Thanks to Ann and Seamus Gallen for the use of the car park and to Paul Lynch for the use of the bus. Also, Raphoe Marquee hire for providing the marquee.

Thanks to Aghyaran GAA for their respectful presence on the day of the funeral and also the centre for the lovely refreshments following the burial.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest and sincerest gratitude.
Ellen's month’s mind Mass will be held at St Patrick's Church, Aghyaran, on Saturday, 14th February at 7:30pm. The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam.
