The family of the late Eoin Doyle, who passed away on 23rd August 2026, wish to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with and supported them during their recent sad bereavement.

Eoin is missed beyond words. While there is an enormous emptiness in our lives without him, there is also an enduring sense of pride in having been his family. We are proud of the life he lived, proud of the man he was, and above all, incredibly proud and grateful to have been able to call him our husband, our father, our father-in-law and our grandfather. He was deeply loved in life, he is deeply missed in death, and he will remain at the heart of our family always.

To our family, friends and kind neighbours who rallied around us and provided so much practical help and support at our time of need, we will be forever grateful.

To everyone who attended Eoin’s wake and funeral, travelled from near and far, brought Mass cards and sympathy cards, sent flowers, telephoned, sent messages, called at the family home or posted expressions of sympathy online, please know that every gesture of kindness and every word of comfort was greatly appreciated.

Our sincere thanks also go to the many individuals and local businesses who generously brought food to the wake house, and to everyone who worked tirelessly throughout the wake, providing refreshments to the many people who came to pay their respects.

We would like to thank, in a very special way, the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Northern Ireland for their care, assistance and efforts at the time of Eoin’s sudden passing. The care and support shown to Eoin and to our family at such a difficult time will always be remembered.

Thanks also to Fr McNally for his spiritual support, kindness and guidance, and for celebrating such a personal and meaningful funeral mass in Cookstown Chapel.

We sincerely thank Andrea Begley for the beautiful music, which made Eoin’s funeral mass so special.

We are also extremely grateful to Cookstown Olympic Football Club for organising and facilitating the parking arrangements for the large number of people who came to pay their respects. Your practical help and generosity were greatly appreciated by us all.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Joanna Loughran and the team at Niall A. Loughran Funeral Directors for the compassion, professionalism, guidance and attention to detail shown to our family throughout Eoin’s funeral arrangements. Your support during such a difficult time was deeply appreciated.

We would also like to sincerely thank The Greenvale Hotel for hosting the funeral meal.

At the risk of failing to mention everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all who helped and supported us as a sincere token of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude. We will never forget the kindness and love shown to Eoin and to us throughout those difficult days.

Eoin’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Cookstown, on Sunday 27th September at 12 noon.
