The death has occurred of:
Eugene (Gene) McCarey
Derryarritt, Scotstown, Co Monaghan Thursday 22nd July, 2021, peacefully, in the loving care of his family in Monaghan Hospital. Predeceased by his brothers Frank and Jimmy. Dearly beloved brother of Pat (Bridie). Deeply regretted and loving remembered by his brother, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces and his entire circle of family and friends.

Reposing at the home of his brother Pat and sister-in-law Bridie, 15 St Dympna's Terrace, Scotstown, from 8pm today, Friday, until removal on Sunday morning at 10.45am, to arrive at St. Mary's Chapel, Urbleshanney, for funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family, relatives and neighbours. Gene's funeral Mass can be viewed on Tydavnet Parish RC Church facebook page.
Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so as the funeral cortege travels to the chapel on Sunday morning adhering to current social distancing guidelines. Family flowers only please, donations, if so desired, to Palliative Care c/o Aidan Connolly or any family member.
