Died peacefully 30th October 2025, in hospital surrounded by his loving family,
after spending 60 years as a missionary priest in Africa.

Beloved son of the late Bridie and Charlie McBride and loving brother of Angela Blair, Mary Browne, Rosemary Egan and the late Carmel, Columb, Michael and Anthony.

Hugo will be reposing at his nieces home 28 Lansdowne Road, Belfast. BT15 4AA, from Friday 31st October after 5pm for those wishing to pay their respects.
On Monday 3rd November he will arrive at St Therese of Lisieux Church, Somerton Road, Belfast for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, followed by burial in Carnmoney Cemetery at 1.00pm.

Deeply regretted by his loving sisters, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great friends Nomali and Mpilo, his confreres in St. Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan.
