Frances McAloon (née Baird)

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT –
Frances McAloon
Carn Road, Tedd, Irvinestown.
18th February

The family of the late Frances McAloon wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us and supported us during our recent bereavement.

We are deeply grateful to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who offered support, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of condolences and sent donations to Marie Curie. We are humbled by your kindness and compassion.

Our sincere thanks to the staff of Altnagelvin Ward 50 and SWAH Ward 7, Ederney Surgery, Dromore District Nurses/relief nurses, Care Plus and Lakeland Community Carers and Marie Curie nurses for the kindness, compassionate care and dedication shown to Mum throughout her illness. A special thanks also to Brendan Lilly and the staff of the Medical Hall for their help and support.

We would like to express our gratitude to Claude McKervey Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and for the guidance and support given to our family during this difficult time.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake at our home, sincere thanks to all who directed traffic, transported people to and from the house, bought food, sent meals and helped out in any way throughout these difficult days, this was deeply appreciated.

Our heartfelt thanks to Canon Kevin Duffy who celebrated the beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass, and to Fr McManus and Fr Peter Muldowney for concelebrating. We are especially grateful to Canon Duffy and Canon McGourty for the spiritual comfort and support they gave to our Mum during her sickness.

A special thank you to the musicians Fergal, Conor and Mark McAloon, and Eileen Mary Pike, whose music and singing made the funeral Mass so meaningful and comforting.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Mahon’s Hotel for providing the refreshments after the funeral.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. Frances is greatly loved and sadly missed by her husband Michael, her daughters Dawn (Sean), Tracy (Lee), Noeleen (Cathal) and Carol (Stephen), her beloved grandchildren, brothers and sisters (Baird Family) friends and extended family . May her gentle and kind soul Rest in Peace

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Frances’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Saturday 21st March, 6pm, Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown.
