Frank McLaughlin

Jennifer, Conor (Caitlin) and Baby Cahan would like to express a few words of thanks after the untimely and sudden death of our darling Frank, a devoted husband and besotted Father and Grandfather. I know Frank is holding my hand as I write this and approving of everything I say. He was really a gift in everyone’s lives but especially ours.

Firstly, we want to thank the NIAS and the PSNI who attended our home in the early hours of Franks passing for their efforts, support, dignity, kindness professionalism and empathy. To Fr McDermott PP Faughanvale who administered spiritual support.

To each and every person who attended the wake and funeral in vast numbers. We have been truly humbled by the mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, food, gifts, flowers and donations in lieu of flowers to the NICU Altnagelvin.

The love and support we have received from our many close friends has given us great comfort and we are totally blessed. To Franks own family JP(Geraldine) Elizabeth (Lester) Edward (Patricia) Roger (Ann) Mary (Brian) Jean (Gerard) John (Pauline) Micheal (Margaret) Paul (Martina) who have been a tower of strength. The Lowry Family Ken (Clare) Desmond (Bernadette) Eddie Peter (Denise) Janet (Kevin). All our nieces and nephews from both families who Frank absolutely adored and who all worked so hard with love and devotion over the wake.

To our all neighbours especially Rev Drewe McConnell First Limavady Presbyterian Church for kindly allowing us the use of their Church Grounds. For Glack GAC for the Guard of Honour and facilitating the car parking.

Thanks to Fr Harkin who celebrated the funeral mass alongside Fr Hasson and Fr Liam McClarey. Thank you everyone who participated with the readings, gifts and Jolene and Martin for the beautiful music. Thanks to Willie Kerr for organizing St Finlough’s and for Cassidys Tamnaherin for the providing the refreshments after the burial.

To Conor’s work colleagues at Conexus Derry and all my ex colleagues at Bovally Medical Centre who also provided care to Frank especially after his heart attack 7 years ago. To all my dear work friends, staff and patients from the North West Cancer Centre for all their kindness and love shown to us.

To Frank’s many work friends throughout his plumbing career. We would like to thank the management team at NICOR. His final working years were the happiest of his working life with Pat Harkin and the team based at Altnagelvin.

Finally, thank you to Seamus, Deborah and staff from McLaughlin Funeral Directors Dungiven for being by our side in such sad and sudden circumstances. Their presence, dedication and professionalism have been outstanding.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

May Franks soul Rest in Peace.
