Frank Boyd RIP
The family of the late Frank Boyd would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and sympathised with us following the loss of our much-loved husband, father and grandfather.

We will be forever indebted to all the nurses, doctors and consultants at Belfast City Hospital and the Hampshire Clinic, London, who cared for Frank with such dedication and compassion throughout the recent months. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful medical and aviation teams who made his transfers between hospitals seamless, fulfilling his last wishes of being at home, as well as to Dr Edward Smyth, Alison Hamilton, the wider district nursing team and private nurses. Throughout an incredibly difficult time, the kindness and care shown to Frank, and to our family, meant more to us than words can express.

Our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to the Very Rev. Canon Sean Rogan, a long-standing friend of Frank’s and our family. We are eternally grateful to him for the spiritual support he gave Frank throughout his illness and for the comfort and guidance he has shown our family during the most difficult weeks. We are especially grateful to him for celebrating Frank’s Requiem Mass with such warmth, compassion and sincerity. His words, reflections and personal memories of Frank touched everyone present and brought great comfort to us all. Having someone who knew Frank for so many years lead us through his final farewell was deeply meaningful to our family.

Our heartfelt thanks to Ciaran Fitzpatrick (Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors), a long-standing family friend, who guided us through every step of the funeral arrangements with such empathy. Every detail was handled with great thought and consideration, bringing us comfort at a time when we were struggling to navigate such a difficult process.

A very special and heartfelt thanks to Kane Carriages for giving Frank such a beautiful and dignified final journey from the estate he loved to his final resting place. The elegance, grace and care shown throughout made his final journey truly unforgettable and was a fitting tribute to Frank.

We would also like to thank the gravediggers, Philip Stranney and Patrick McEvoy; Emma, Shauneen and Maria of Saffyre and Una Brown for the beautiful music and singing; Bartley Murphy for car park stewarding; and Niall McKenna and Daniel Murdock for the fantastic food.

We are deeply appreciative of our extended family, friends, work colleagues and everyone who travelled from near and far to pay their respects, attended the funeral, sent cards, flowers and messages of support, or simply reached out to us during this difficult time. Every gesture, no matter how small, has meant so much to us.

We have been particularly touched by the many stories and memories that have been shared with us about Frank. Hearing the stories of his life and the impact he had on so many has brought us moments of great comfort, laughter and joy during our grief.
To each and every person who has supported us, cared for Frank and prayed for him during these difficult months, we offer our sincere and heartfelt thanks.

Frank’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 4th October at 10.30am in St Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick.
We warmly invite all of Frank’s family and friends to join us as we remember and pray for him.
