ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The O’Connor and extended family circle of the late Garvan O’Connor wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad loss.
A special word of thanks to everyone who called at the wake, brought cards, sent letters, telephoned, left gifts, made donations in lieu of flowers, gathered along the route to the church and attended the funeral, both in person and online. We are truly grateful to you all.
We are especially thankful to our relatives, friends, neighbours, the emergency services, health professionals and members of the wider community for all their kindness, help and support, shown in so many ways. Knowing we were surrounded by such goodwill has been a great source of comfort during this incredibly sad and difficult time.
Our sincere thanks to the French, McCay and wider family circle who worked tirelessly and helped us throughout the wake, and to Garvan’s colleagues at Openreach for their show of support and respect on the morning of the funeral.
Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Seán for the beautiful celebration of Garvan’s Requiem Mass and to Noel and Jamie for providing the music.
We would also like to convey our appreciation to Jude and the team at Quigley Funeral Directors for the compassion, dignity and professionalism shown to our family throughout.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude to all who supported us in any way.
Finally, to a much-loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend: we have been truly blessed to have you in our lives. We thank you for the love, laughter and memories you leave behind. You will be forever missed.
Garvan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Melmount on Sunday 20th September at 11.30 a.m. This will coincide with the anniversary Mass of Garvan’s much-loved mum, the late Mary O’Connor.
