Gary's family wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our heartbreaking loss of our beloved husband, daddy, grandpa, brother and extended family members.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone from near and far who called to the wake to pay their respects, who attended the funeral, watched via webcam, sent flowers, cards and messages of condolences.
A special word of thanks to the nurses, doctors, nursing assistants and support staff of ACU Altnagelvin for the care that they provided Gary with during his short illness, the compassion, care and kindness that they provided to Gary and our family will never be forgotten, you are all truly 'Earth Angels' and a credit to your profession.
Thankyou to Tanya and Anne the Marie Curie nurses and Catriona from The Foyle Hospice and NW Carers who looked after Gary with such dignity and respect and gave him and us the opportunity to spend our last precious days together at home.
A special thanks to Karen, Catriona, Niamh and Caroline for making sure everyone had a cup of tea and some food during the wake and for all those who brought food, we could not have done it without you all.
Thankyou to Fr. Lagan and Fr. Canny (Waterside) and Fr. Shaun and Fr. Paul (St Eugene's) for their spiritual guidance throughout Gary's short illness and during the wake.
To all those who participated in the Mass, especially Fr. Mongan and all those at Long Tower for the lovely sentiments during the Mass and to Charlene, Catriona, Nuala and Ramon for the absolutely beautiful singing & music throughout the mass.
Also a word of thanks to Don Boscos and Gary's Danderball buddies and friends from the Old Library Trust for the Guard of Honour.
Finally, our sincerest thanks to Mr. Kieran Connor and all his staff at McClafferty Funeral Directors. Gary's undeniably beautiful send-off was made possible by you and your team. "May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
St Padre Pio Intercede For Him.
