George CALDWELL
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT / MONTH'S MIND MASS
George CALDWELL
We, the family of the late George Caldwell, would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered sympathy, kindness and support during the recent bereavement of our beloved husband and daddy.
We are so grateful to everyone who prayed for George and sent kind messages during his illness. To the huge numbers who came to the wake, brought Mass/Sympathy Cards and attended the Funeral Mass, your heartfelt presence helped us in this difficult time. Thank you for giving George the send-off he so well deserved. He would have been truly amazed.
Thanks to all who took the time to write such lovely comments about George on social media and to those who sent beautiful cards in the days that followed. It was evident how much he was thought of, and how he touched the lives of so many people in his simple, gentle way. The messages have been truly comforting and have filled us full of pride for the man he was. Thank you to all that have been involved with George at Derry City FC and to the wider Derry City FC community for their support.
Thank you to the medical professionals who cared for George throughout his illness and in particular Roisin, Annemarie, Dr Malek, Dr Eva and Lorna at the North-West Cancer Centre. Your care and kindness for George throughout his illness was incredible. He was very fond of you all. Thank you to all who made donations to the NW Cancer Centre. Thank you also to the District Nurses and Dr Rawasi who made his final days comfortable.
Thank you to Father Paul for administering George’s final sacraments, which brought peace to our family, and to Father Shaun who comforted us, provided guidance and delivered a truly beautiful Funeral Mass. Thank you both for your continued prayers.
To Annemarie Hickey, whose voice he always loved, and Aidan for the beautiful music.
We are so thankful to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their guidance, professionalism and quiet presence throughout the wake and funeral.
Thank you to our incredible extended family who carried us through the days before George’s passing, as well as during the wake and funeral. We will never be able to thank you enough. You gave so much without being asked. We could not have done this without you, and we thank you for your continuing love and support.
We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us in all the different ways. Please continue to keep George in your prayers.
