MONTH'S MIND MASS / ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Georgina McCALLION (née Grint)
15th September 2026
The family of Georgina McCallion would like to take the time to express their heartfelt thanks to all who gave tremendous support and sympathised with them following their recent devastating loss.
We have been deeply touched by all those who offered sympathy, prayers and support throughout Georgina's short illness. To everyone who called to the house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages, flowers, shared memories and tributes, brought food and helped out in any way during this difficult time. We would like to thank everyone who attended the wake, funeral or joined us in any other way, please know how much your support has meant to us.
Heartfelt thanks to Fr. Micheal McGavigan for the prayers and support, at the wake and especially for the beautiful mass and graveside prayers. Thank you so much to Sarah McGarrity for the beautiful singing. It was truly moving and brought such comfort to us.
We would like to thank Dr Porter and all the staff in Racecourse medical for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Georgina during her illness. To the district nurses and Foyle Hospice for their care and support in those final weeks and for all those that cared for Georgina.
To the staff of the A&E department in Altnagelvin hospital and the staff of Medicare Pharmacy Racecourse, we thank you for all your care and support not only to Georgina but to us as a family. Thank you for always going above and beyond to ensure Georgina had everything she needed and for the warmth and kindness shown to our family.
Our sincere thanks also to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their professionalism, sympathy and great support during the wake and funeral. To our friends, extended family, neighbours and everyone who stood beside us during such an incredibly difficult time. To Georgina's past and present work colleagues of Oakleaves Care Centre for the guard of honour. We as a family appreciate your thoughtful gesture, and it meant a great deal to us the care taken to remember Georgina in such a meaningful way. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have meant so much to us during this difficult time, we are truly grateful.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere expression of our family’s gratitude.
Georgina’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill 15th October at 7:00pm.
