Geraldine McFadden (née Rulon)
Geraldine McFadden née Rulon died on April 17th, 2025, at St. Croix Hospice, Independence, Missouri, USA after a long illness bravely borne. She was the daughter of the late George and Rose Rulon (née Kelly of 27 Inishowen Gardens, Creggan) and who then settled in Long Beach, California where the Rulon family lived for most of their lives. Gerri returned to Derry in the early 1970’s where she met and married Damien McFadden before returning to the USA a few years later. Gerri is survived by Damien, their two children Catriona Rose and Damien Gerrard, her stepdaughter Andee, Damien’s daughter Rachel, her sisters Patricia, Theresa, Kathleen and her brother Michael.
Gerri’s ashes will be taken for burial to the City Cemetery after Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church - Divine Mercy Chapel, Creggan at 1pm on Tuesday 22nd September, 2026. Sweet Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
