We the family of Gerard ‘Jock’ Rafferty wish to express our heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

We extend our sincere thanks to the air ambulance (HEMS doctors), fire services, PSNIand ambulance paramedics who attended the scene. Your professionalism, care and compassion in a difficult situation will never be forgotten.

A special mention to Father John who administered last rights to Daddy at the scene. Thank you to yourself and Canon Benny for being there for us on the day, your support is truly appreciated.

To Seamie and Carolina Corr of Berts Pizzeria, words could never express our gratitude to you both on the day of daddy’s accident. For opening your premises and providing a private space for our family, your kindness and care shown to us will always be remembered.

To all the staff at Lynch’s Spar Clonoe and to the members of the public who helped in whatever way they could, we truly value your support.

We are deeply appreciative for the love, kindness and sympathy extended by our friends, family, and community. Your presence and support to us at the scene and throughout the wake/ funeral has provided great comfort to our family during this difficult time of sorrow.

For all who helped out throughout the wake and funeral, we are forever grateful.

Special word of thanks to all our local businesseswho sent down food during daddy’s wake, your generosity knows no bounds.

We wish to sincerely thank Canon Fee for his caring and compassionate funeral mass. Thank you for going above and beyond to make the funeral mass so special for our family. Many family and friends commented on how touching it was and it gave us great comfort.

Thank you to the Hanna sisters for their beautiful singing and music they provided for daddy’s funeral mass.

Thank you to Fr. John and Fr. Garrett who helped with prayers at daddy’s graveside.

Special thanks to Peter Devlin at M. Dorman and sons funeral directors for the attentive and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangement were conducted and for all his support and guidance. Thank you to Dermot at Quinn Bros funeral services for all your help alongside Peter and for taking daddy on his final journey home through Maghery.

To Gary Harte for preparing the grave efficiently and to Margaret Taggart, Sacristan for all their help.

Thank you to the people of Maghery who acted as guards of honour for daddy’s final journey. This was a very moving tribute and meant a lot to our family. A special word of thanks also to all those who took part in the guard of honour at the funeral service.

Thanks to George Corr and his staff at 4C coffee house and kitchen for the catering and service provided after the funeral and thank you to Derrytresk Hall for the use of their facilities.

There is no way we could possibly thank everyone individually so please accept this acknowledgement as a heartfelt thank you from all our family.

Daddy’s months mind will be on Thursday 26th of February at 7.30 pm at St. Brigid’s Church, Brocagh.
