We, the family of the late Gerardine Doherty, would like to express our sincere thanks to all the friends, neighbours, colleagues and relations who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.
We have been overwhelmed by the messages, sympathy cards, prayers and stories of Gerardine’s life, which have been a great comfort to us at the wake, at the funeral and in the days since. They were a series of beautiful tributes, showing the impact she had on so many people’s lives.
We would like to express our unending thanks to Melmount Care Home and the care workers who worked with Gerardine before her admission, for the sympathy, compassion and care shown to her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We are indebted to Father Colm O’Doherty for delivering a beautiful Requiem Mass for his beloved sister, and to Cathal O’Doherty for leading a musical tribute in her memory.
Thank you to Bradley & McLaughlin for their discreet, professional and dignified manner in organising the funeral.
As we have been unable to thank everyone in person, we trust this will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Gerardine’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, at 7.00pm on 16 January.
