Sincerest thanks to all those who attended the wake at dad’s home and at Swift and McCaffrey Funeral Home, for their kind words of sympathy and for sharing so many memories and stories of dad’s humour and kindness. Thank you for all the mass cards, sympathy cards, phone calls and messages of condolences and also for the prayers said during his illness. They were most gratefully appreciated. Thank you to all who attended his funeral especially those who travelled long distances to the wake and the funeral.
To those family friends and former work colleagues who kept vigil with dad on the nights before the funeral we thank you most sincerely.
We cannot express enough our gratitude to the doctors and consultants, to Nuala McCloy and all the medical professionals of Ward 2 North and The ICU in The Belfast City hospital for the excellent care and compassion shown not only to dad but for their constant support and comfort shown to the family during his last few weeks. Thank you also to the community carers and the staff of Enniskillen Health Centre.
To all the close friends who regularly visited during his illness, please know how much your friendship truly meant to him.
We are deeply grateful also to Paul Hughes(Pharmacy), not only for his professional care but also for the kindness and genuine compassion shown to dad.
A special word of thanks to Vera’s family, Mary Bogue, Eamon and Caroline Bogue & family, Betty Flynn & family who gave him so much help and support.

Our grateful appreciation to Swift and McCaffrey funeral directors, thank you to Oliver, Leo and Conor for the truly sensitive, dignified and compassionate way they carried out the funeral arrangements. Thanks also to the gravediggers.
Thank you to Fr. Brendan McManus who was unable to attend the funeral but said mass for the repose of Gerard’s soul in Manresa, Spain.
It would be impossible to thank everyone individually. Please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our gratitude and genuine appreciation.
