We, the family of the late Gerard Nicholas, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our sad bereavement. Thank you to all our family, friends and neighbours who called at our home, sent cards, messages of sympathy, flowers and to those who brought food, and helped in any way. Sincere appreciation and thanks to all the Community Carers, the staff of Silverdale Nursing Home who cared for Gerard and to the doctors and nurses in A & E and Ward 41 in Altnagelvin who cared for Gerard during his final days. Thanks to the doctors and staff of Sperrin Family Practice, Plumbridge and Bradley’s Pharmacy. Sincere gratitude and thanks to Father Brian Donnelly PP, who attended to Gerard’s spiritual needs at home, during the wake and for conducting the Funeral Mass. Also, to the chaplains of Altnagelvin who prayed with and supported us during Gerard’s final days. A special word of thanks to the Sacristans, Christine and Paula, the Eucharistic Minister Anne and everyone who took part in the Liturgy. Many thanks to Aine Harkin for her beautiful singing. To Anna and all those who helped, for the beautiful food served in the Parochial Hall after the burial. Many thanks to the Glenelly St Joseph’s GFC for all their assistance with traffic and lighting arrangements during the wake, and for their respectful guard of honour at the funeral.Thank you to Jude and the staff at Quigley’s undertakers for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Many thanks to the grave digger John McCullagh for preparing Gerard’s final resting place. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement of our family’s deepest gratitude, you will be remembered in a special Mass for your intentions.
Gerard’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, Plumbridge on Sunday 11th of May at 10am Mass.
May Gerard’s soul rest in peace. Our Lady of Knock pray for us
