We, the family of the late Gerry Doc, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Thank you to those who travelled from far to be with us, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, telephone calls and attended the wake and funeral.

We would like to thank Daddy's GP, Dr Angela Loftus, for the care over the years, especially during his short illness. Also his Social Worker, Bronagh, and the District Nurses - Sinead, Grainne and everyone at Aberfoyle Medical Practice.

We would like to thank everyone who helped at the wake house and provided food, particularly The Dungloe Bar, Daly's Bar, KD Catering, Roccos/Fern Park Shop, City Chippy, Kennedys, Gerald’s Spar, Galliagh, Marissa McMullan for the generosity of food during the wake - it was greatly appreciated.

A special word of thanks to the Micheal Hutton Chairman Derry & District Youth and local youth teams, showing great support during the wake and funeral. Thank you to Leafair, Skeoge House and Shantallow Community Centre. Sincere thanks to the management, coaches, players and parents of Daddy's beloved Foyle Harps family, for the Guards of Honour going in and out of the chapel and to all who lined the streets on the morning of the funeral. You all gave him a great send off.

Our heartfelt thanks to our Bishop Eamon Martin - your prayers brought a great comfort to us during the wake. Sincere thanks to Fr McDevitt and Fr Sean for visiting Dad at home during his short illness and for the beautiful Requiem Mass.

Thank you to Sinead and Damian for the beautiful singing at the Mass.

The family would like to thank Kieran and all the staff at W J O'Brien and Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the professional and dignified manner in which they guided the family and carried out the funeral arrangements.

Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token on the family’s deep appreciation.

Daddy’s month mind mass will be celebrated on Saturday 5th July 6:30 pm in Our Lady’s of Lourdes Chapel, Steelstown. Everyone welcome.
