Gertrude Conway (née Hampsey) - April 25th 2023 (R.I.P).

The family of the late Gertrude Conway would like to thank most sincerely all family, friends, and neighbours for the kind messages of sympathy, cards of condolence, Mass Cards and the generous donations received for the benefit of Lilac Cancer Support (Cookstown).
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who attended the wake, brought food, including Tallon’s Mace and QC Tyres/Farm Supplies (Littlebridge), or helped in any capacity. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Special thanks are extended to the doctors at the Loy Medical Centre (Cookstown), staff at Falls Pharmacy (Cookstown), Jackie’s Carers, the district/specialist nurses who provided kindness, comfort, and care in her later years and to Father Francis Coll for his pastoral care of Gertrude over the years. Specific gratitude is extended to Clare Scullion and Gertrude’s grand daughter, Helen McCullough, for the exceptional levels of selfless support and care provided to Gertrude over the last few years of her life.

Grateful appreciation is expressed to all those who attended the Requiem Mass and to Fr Coll with his heartfelt homily, kind words and comfort to the family at their sad time. Our thanks are also given to the sacristan Theresa Bell, the singer Siobhan Robinson for her beautiful delivery of hymns and music at the funeral mass and to the staff from the Greenvale Hotel (Cookstown) who provided refreshments after the funeral.

We sincerely thank Joanna (Niall A.Loughran, Funeral Directors) and her colleagues for their sensitivity and the professional and dignified funeral arrangements.

Gertrude’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Malachys Church, Drummullan on Saturday 27 May at 7 pm.
