Passed Away 7th August 2026

The Family of the late Gladys Patterson wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who sympathised and supported us following Gladys’ passing unto the Lord.

We would like to thank everyone who provided care and help during this past few years. To the Staff at Antrim Area Hospital for all the care they gave at difficult times. To Dr. Johnston and all the Staff at the Mid Ulster Health Care, Cookstown, for all the support and attention they provided when needed. To the Staff at Weavers House and latterly Drapersfield Nursing Home for all the care, love and compassion they provided both to Gladys and the Family. Thanks also to Anns Carers who were unflinching in help and respite they provided when called upon.

We would like to express how grateful we are to Desertcreat Parish Church for providing the Church Hall for the wake and tea following the committal. To those who provided refreshments at the wake and particularly those people who helped in serving tea, and those assisting with car parking. The help was much appreciated at a difficult time. Special thanks to Murial Boyle in providing the refreshments following the funeral.

A very special word of thanks to Rev David Bell who provided tremendous Ministry to Gladys and the Family, especially so in her final weeks and days. The funeral service was a great reflection of her life and the Rev Bells support was gratefully received. A special thanks to Helen and Kristy from D. Watters Funeral Services for carrying out their duties in such a caring and dignified manner. Thanks also to the organist, Tanya Stewart, Mid Ulster Council and the gravediggers. A special word of thanks to Bert Harkness for piping at the graveside.

Finally, an acknowledgement to all who called, phoned, sent cards, attended the wake and the funeral service. A special work of thanks to Gladys’ neighbours and friends in both Cookstown and Loughry, who were a tremendous fellowship to her over the years. We also acknowledge and thank all those who gave donations in lieu of flowers in Gladys’ memory.

It is impossible to thank everyone for their support and prayers, but we trust this acknowledgement will be seen as a sincere appreciation of our thanks.

Have you considered?
