The death has occurred of:
Harold CUNNINGHAM
The family of the late Harold Cunningham would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for all the kindness, support and sympathy they have received following the loss of their cherished husband, father, granda and brother.
Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass and sympathy cards, floral tributes and personal messages of condolence. It was a great source of comfort and pride as a family to see the number of friends and family, some of whom travelled long distances, visiting to pay their respects, laugh and cry with us and help us through this very difficult time.
A special word of thanks to our wonderful extended family, close friends and neighbours in Thornhill Park for all of their practical help, kindness and support. There are no words to express our gratitude for everything they have done for us. Also a special mention to the Bay Road walking crew and his Portnablagh friends who held a special place in Harold’s heart.
We wish to thank the Ambulance Service, Altnagelvin Accident and Emergency staff and the wonderful staff in Ward 44 (Coronary Care) for the compassionate, kind and supportive care they gave Harold in his final few days. He and the entire family were so deeply appreciative of this.
Thank you to all the medical and nursing teams who cared for Harold during his illness, including the Respiratory Teams, the Palliative Care Teams in Altnagelvin and Foyle Hospice, Clarendon Medical Centre and BOC for their support and guidance over the last few years.
Thank you to Fr Gormley for celebrating a deeply moving requiem mass and to Fr Canny for providing spiritual support and chaplaincy to Harold whilst in hospital. Also thank you to Donna, his Eucharistic Minister.
Many thanks to all who donated in lieu of flowers. Also special thanks to Kieran, Noeleen and all at W.J. O’Brien and sons for their invaluable support, guidance and dignified professionalism..
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
