The daughters of the late Hugh (Hughie) Cunningham wish to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to all who sympathised with them during their sad bereavement.
A word of thanks to Ardmore Medical Practice and the District nurses who provided medical care to our father throughout the years.
A very special thank you to the amazing staff at Daisy Hill Hospital in particular the Renal unit nurses who showed our father great compassion and care during his final days.
We would also like to mention a word of gratitude to Father Boyle and Father McKinney and the hospital Chaplin who made time to come and visit our father.
Our heartfelt thanks to neighbours and friends and everyone who called at our home, attended the funeral, sent mass cards, messages of condolences and brought food to the house. A special thanks to everyone who helped with refreshments during the wake, and to Newell Stores for very kindly providing sandwiches and soup. Also thanks to Leckys Vivo extra for the beautiful flowers.
A special word of thanks to Rock St. Patrick’s GAC for use of the Rock Hub, and Seamus Mc Nally for providing the lovely food after the funeral. Thank you to the Rock Parochial hall for letting us use their facilities and car park.
A special word of thanks to Father Brian Mc Nally for his comforting requiem mass and we convey our appreciation to the sacristans, the readers and Malachi Cush and his accompanist Rory Madden who provided the beautiful music.
A special word of thanks to Niall A. Loughran funeral directors for the professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave diggers for preparing his final resting place.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a gesture of our deepest gratitude.
Hughie’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 5th April at 10:30am in Sacred Heart Church, Rock.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
