Hugh Hegarty
It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh Hegarty, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 14th September 2025.
Late of 10 Victoria Park. May he rest in peace.
Beloved husband of the late Eilis. Devoted father of Patrick, Hugh, Timothy, Hillary and Sarah. Dearest father-in-law of Tracy, Julie, Faujiah, Tim and the late Noella. A much loved granda and great-granda to all of his loving grandchildren and great-grandson. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends.
Hugh’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 10 Victoria Park from 10am until 9pm tomorrow, Tuesday 16th September. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday 17th September at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
The wake house will be private on the morning of the funeral.
