We the family of Irene Donnelly, would like to sincerely thank everyone who sympathised with, prayed for and supported us through our recent and sudden loss of our mum.
We are deeply grateful to all who attended the wake, funeral, sent messages, mass cards, sympathy cards and flowers. We appreciate your thoughtfulness in taken the time to do so.
We are extremely grateful to all staff of ward 1 & 2, Valerie and the palliative care team at South West Acute Hospital for the care, compassion and support shown to mum and ourselves during her final days in the hospital.
Also to Dr Deehan, Dr Rodger’s and all the staff at Strule medical practice for the care and attention to mum over the years.
We would also like to thank family, friends and neighbors who brought food and helped take care of teas and refreshments during the wake.
To all of the local businesses who provided food for the wake.
To Pizzamac, Curr Road, Quinn’s Corner and Cox’s Spar for providing food for us the family during the wake it’s greatly appreciated.
Thanks also to PD Coaches, the drivers Ciaran and Sean who organised a bus that contributed so much to the smooth running of the wake.
To the Stewarts for the organisation of the traffic and parking of the cars.
To Gregory Mc Sorley & Tyrone GAA Garvaghey complex for the use of the carpark.
A special word of thanks to Fr Michael O’ Dwyer for his spiritual guidance over the years and visits to Mum, for his continued support to us and for saying mum’s requiem mass.
To Pauric the alter server and Sinead Willox for the beautiful singing.
To the Grave diggers and to Mary Rafferty for preparation of mums final resting place.
To all the staff at Canvans for providing refreshments after the funeral.
We extend our deepest thanks to Paudge Quinn, undertaker, for the sensitive and dignified manner in which he carried out mums wishes. Also the care,patience and guidance he had for us throughout the wake and funeral.
As it’s Impossible to thank each and everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of how grateful and sincere we appreciate it all from Aishling,PJ,Aidan & Shane.
Irene’s month mind mass will be celebrated in St Matthew’s church, Garvaghey on Friday 15th May 2026 at 7pm
