CARLIN
(nee Doherty)

1st April 2024

We, the family of the late Ivy (Mary Evelyn) Carlin RIP, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported and sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.

We would like to offer our sincere gratitude to all those who attended mum’s wake and funeral, left mass and sympathy cards, donations to Cancer Research Castlederg and messages via social media.

Our sincere appreciation to our extended family and friends who assisted during the wake and to all those who generously provided and brought food to the home, especially Farley’s Bar Beragh and The Aviary Omagh for the lovely hot food.
A special thank you to mum’s dear friend Ivy Simpson for the use of utensils from Garvetagh Hall.

To all mum’s Carers, District Nurses, Rapid Response Nurses, Marie Curie Nurse and Palliative Care Nurse, we are so grateful for your help and for the care, dignity and compassion shown to mum in her final days.

A word of thanks also to the Doctors and Staff at Castlederg Group Surgery. To Mary Donaghy and her staff at Donaghy’s Chemist Castlederg for their help and kindness shown to mum over the past years.

A special word of thanks to Fr Paul Fraser, Fr Thomas Canning and Fr Peter McCawille for mum’s pastoral care both before and during her illness and to Fr Roland Colhoun and Fr Patsy Arkinson for calling at the home during the wake. Also to Fr Fraser for his beautiful and sincere homily at mum’s requiem mass accompanied by Fr Peter McCawille and Fr John Gilmore. Thanks to all who took part in the liturgy of the mass especially the Grandchildren, Granny Ivy would have been so proud. Thanks to Rois and Claire for the beautiful singing and music. Thanks also to Jimmy the Sacristan and the Eucharistic Ministers Jenny and Gerard.

A special word of thanks to Charlie, Ann & Martin (Charles Lynch Funeral Directors) for the dignified and professional manner in which mum’s funeral arrangements were carried out. Thank you to the grave digger for preparing mum’s final resting place. Thanks to all those who managed traffic and to G.M. Canopies for providing the marquee.

A special word of thanks to St Patrick’s Hall Tea Committee, Castlederg for the lovely refreshments following the burial.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we sincerely hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.

Mum’s months mind mass will be celebrated on Friday 10th May at 7.30pm in St Francis of Assisi Church Drumnabey.

Have you considered?
