The family of the late Jim Browne would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement. Thank you to all our family, friends, neighbours, former neighbours, staff and members of Dunmurry Golf Club who attended the wake, sent Mass cards, Sympathy cards, letters, messages of condolence and attended the Funeral Mass. Many thanks to Fr. Martin O’Hagan, P.P., and Fr. Colin Grant for concelebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass and to Deacon Pat McNeill for assisting with the Mass. We are grateful to Canon Sean Rogan, Fr. Michael Sheehan, Fr. Peter Carlin, Fr. Raymond McCullagh and Fr. Henry McCann for their attendance at the Mass. We appreciated their prayers, support and kindness at this most challenging time. Thanks to Mary Devlin and Gerry Barry from St. Anne’s Parish for their help with arrangements in the church.

We are most grateful for the beautiful and uplifting music at the Mass, provided by members of the Down and Connor Diocesan Lourdes Choir, St. Anne’s Parish Choir and Cantiunculae Chamber Choir,(Directed by Gráinne McCann) and also Idé Scullin for playing the violin so beautifully. Sincere thanks to Mark Laverty for all his help with the music, playing the organ and leading the combined choirs. Sincere thanks to all the Doctors, nurses, staff at A&E, Ward 7 CC, Critical Care Ward, the Palliative Care Team and the Hospital Chaplains at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Fr. Darach Mac Giolla Catháin and Fr. Renson Joseph, for their excellent care and the great kindness shown to Dad. We also express our deep gratitude to Deborah Campbell, Gillian Cowan and the wonderful, professional staff at Kilwee Care Home for the love and attention they showed to Dad during the years that he resided there. We thank the staff at Dunmurry Golf Club for providing the lovely refreshments after the Mass.

Thanks to both the Rogers family and the Governors, staff and pupils of St.Matthew’s Primary School and Nursery, Belfast, for their beautiful floral tributes. Thank you to everyone who kindly made online donations to Trócaire, c/o O’Kanes.

Finally, we would like to thank the team at O’Kanes Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of the funeral arrangements and to Aidan and Daniel for their help at the funeral. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.

A Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Jim’s Month’s Mind will be celebrated at 11:00am Mass on Sunday 1st March in St. Anne’s Church, Kingsway, Belfast.
