Passed away September 21, 2015, peacefully at the N.I. Hospice, dearly-beloved husband of Roberta and loving father of Mark and Stephen and much-loved grandfather to Danielle, Karl and Kurtis and great-grandfather to Cole and Edward. Funeral Service in his home 6 Dunluskin Crescent, Carrickfergus tomorrow (Thursday) at 3.00 p.m. and afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium for 4.30 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired , to N.I. Hospice, c/o S & J. Irvine Funeral Directors 31-35 Irish Quarter South, Carrickfergus. Will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family circle. God takes us one by one and breaks the family chain, but someday in a better land, the chain will link again.

Deeply regretted by son Mark, daughter-in-law Deborah, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
God saw that he was getting tired, a cure was not to be,
so He put his arms around him and whispered come with Me.
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away,
although we loved him dearly we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
