Acknowledgement and Month's Mind Notice
James (Jim) Doherty
Died - 21st August 2025
We the family of the late Jim Doherty, Iniscarn Court Derry would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.
To our extended family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and support throughout the wake and funeral, we are eternally grateful. We have taken great comfort in the knowledge that so many attended the wake, sent cards and floral tributes, attended the funeral and have called to the house to pay their respects. We also want to express our thanks to the girls who managed the kitchen during the wake and ensured that all visitors received a warm welcome.
We would like to thank Mr J Stenson and his colleagues including Emma and Aine in the Head and Neck Team at Altnagelvin Hospital for their professional and dedicated care of Jim over the past two years.
To the Doctors, Medical and Support Team of Clarendon Medical Practice, Bradleys Pharmacy Abercorn and Medicare Rathmore we want to thank you for your support and professional care over the past few years.
We sincerely thank Joe Parke and all the team at Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors, Derry for such a personal and dignified service. We greatly appreciated your support during the wake and funeral, which were undertaken with such great care and professionalism.
We would like to convey our deepest gratitude to Fr. Ignacy Saniuta, St Marys Church Creggan for his pastoral care and administering Communion during Jim's illness which he found to be great spiritual comfort, and for co- celebrating the funeral mass with Dr Stephen Ward. A special word of thanks to Jim's nieces Lauren and Beth Doherty for the beautiful singing and music which made the funeral mass so special.
As it is impossible to thank everyone, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by everyone who helped and supported us during this difficult time.
Jim's Month's Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 21st September at 7pm in St. Eugene's Cathedral.
All are welcome to join us in prayer.
