James (Jim) McMAHON

McMAHON, James (Jim) RIP passed peacefully on 16th March 2026 surrounded by love at Fruithill Nursing Home, aged 96 years.
Dearly loved husband of the late Marie (nee Blaney), Devoted father to Eamonn, Paul, Susan and the late Jim and Brendan. A much-loved Father-in-Law to Mary, Jim Jess and the late Sue. Devoted Granda, Great Granda, Uncle and a true and loyal friend to many.

Go ndéana Dia a mhaith air.

For those wishing to say their final farewell, James will be reposing in O’Neill’s Chapel of Rest on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th of March.

Jim’s remains will leave O’Neill’s at 11.15 on Saturday to arrive at St Teresa’s Church, Glen Road for 12noon Requiem Mass to celebrate his long and fulfilled life. Burial will follow immediately afterwards in Our Lady’s Cemetery, Hannahstown. Requiem Mass can be viewed online via the parish web cam.( St Teresa’s Parish Webcam – The Parish of St Teresa of Ávila, Glen Road, Belfast ).

At Jim’s own request we would ask those attending the funeral to wear “bright colours and a smile”.

Jim’s passing will leave a huge void in the lives of those he touched. He will be sorely missed.
