Mullin
James(Jim)
48 Tattyreagh Road, Omagh
Died 24th August 2025

We, the family of the late James (Jim) Mullin, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with us, supported us, and sent messages of sympathy during our recent bereavement.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our extensive family, friends, and neighbours, who helped in so many ways during the wake.

We extend a special word of gratitude to the Cheeky Fox and Half-Way Shop for their generosity and for the use of their car parks. We especially thank Fergal, who coordinated the shuttle bus service, and his team of drivers for their assistance over the wake period. Our heartfelt thanks to Tattyreagh GAC for the use of their kitchen equipment and to O’Hagan’s Bar, Eskra, for providing the stools.

A special word of thanks to Father Hasson, PP, for his spiritual support before and after Dad’s death. We thank him for his lovely homily and his heartfelt words at the funeral mass. We extend our appreciation to the Sacristan and all those who participated in the liturgy, especially Sinead Taggart and Eamon McElholm, who provided the beautiful singing and music.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors who attended Dad at home during his last few days, and to Joanna, the district nurse, for her devoted care and attention to Dad in his final hours. We also thank the staff at Three Spires Surgery, Bradleys Pharmacy, and the dedicated team of carers who attended to Dad’s needs at home. We thank the staff at Gortmore Day Care for the kindness and care that Dad received there in recent years.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, to the gravediggers for preparing Dad’s final resting place, to Nettles and Petals for the beautiful floral tributes and to those who lined the funeral route or joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We thank those who donated to the Foyle Hospice via the following link: https://foylehospice.com/fundraising/inlieuofflowers/
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude. Your support, kindness, and presence during this difficult time have meant more to us than words can express. We hope we have not left anyone out.

He is much loved and sadly missed by his sons, daughters, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his wider family circle.

Dad’s Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 26th September at 7.30pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Omagh.
