1st Anniversary

In Loving Memory of our father Joe Hutchman

A gentle soul with a lion’s pride,
You walked with love, with none to hide.
Through every laugh, through every tear,
We felt your heart was always near.

A father first, and best of men,
Our guide, our strength, time and again.
To your children, steady and wise,
You were our rock, our Northern skies.

Your grandchildren lit up your days,
With every smile, with every praise.
And oh, how your great-grandchildren shone,
Their joy, your joy — all rolled in one.

To brothers, sisters, family tight,
He gave his care, his truth, his light.
To nieces, nephews, near and far,
He shone for them, a northern star.

Through every match, in red and white,
You roared for Derry with all your might.
A Candystripe in soul and name,
No fair-weather fan — you lived the game.

From Brandywell to heaven’s stands,
You're cheering now with angel bands.
Though you are gone, your love remains,
In family ties and football chains.

We'll miss your wit, your steady hand,
Your stories told just as you planned.
But most of all, the way you cared —
A legacy that can't be spared.

So here’s to Joe, our pride, our king,
We feel your presence in everything.
One final toast, with hearts that sting —
Ching ching, daddy, ching ching.
