The death has occurred of:
Joe O'KANE
We, the family of the late Joe O'Kane, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. To those who paid their respects, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, phone calls, messages, flowers and food - these were a great comfort to us at a difficult time. We will never forget your kindness.
Thanks to the staff and carers from the Trust, Connected Health and North West Care who treated Joe with dignity, gentleness and compassion throughout his illness. To the medical, nursing and pharmacy teams – we thank you for your expertise, professionalism and warmth from Joe's diagnosis right until his final hours.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Fr Noel McDermott and Monsignor Dolan for their presence and comfort at our family home, both in dad’s final days, and over the years. A most sincere thank you to Fr McDermot for his beautiful Requiem Mass.
Thanks to all at W. J. O’Brien and Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton for the professional and caring manner in which they carried out the funeral. To Fidelma McNamee for providing the music at the funeral Mass, and to the staff in Cassidy’s shop who provided refreshments in the hall, a special thank you to all.
Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family's deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
Joe’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday 20th April at 7.30pm in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale.
