John Eugene COYLE
Rest in peace John Eugene Coyle who died peacefully at Oakleaves Care Home, Derry on Thursday 6th August 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
He loved his family, his music, his cars and a laugh.
He will be deeply missed by Mary his beloved wife of 64 years, his children Willie, Tricia, Anne and John Junior and his sons/daughters-in-law Maria, Jim, Robert and Cathy; his 12 grandchildren and step-grandchildren Tynann, Darrell, Orann, Dannon, Olivia, John G, Jessica. Jonathon, Josh, Jemimah, Jared and Maya, and their spouse/partners Jodie, Andrea, Eileen, Gerard, Clodagh, Fearghal and Julie, and his 12 great-grandchildren Luca, Ariah, Eissa, Curadh, Elle, Rosie, Eve, Tilly, Ollie, Ava, Noah and Charlie.
Pre-deceased by his siblings Martin, Neill, Maria and William he will be missed by his sisters Margaret, Ethne (USA) and brother Paddy, his sisters-in-law Barbara, Nuala, Catherine, Carmel and Rebecca and his nieces Carmel Junior and Siobhan, nephew and niece Charlie and Eileen (Spain), his brothers in law David and Paul and Christine and all his nieces and nephews and extended family in Derry, Strabane, Dublin, Spain, Italy and the United States and by his friends and the friends of his children.
John’s remains will be reposed at the community room in St Mary’s Chapel, Creggan, Derry on Saturday 8th August from noon to 5.30pm.
Funeral mass at St Marys, Creggan, Derry on Sunday 9th August 2026 at 12.15pm followed by burial at Derry City Cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers to the Residents' Comfort Fund at Oakleaves Care Home, Derry.
