It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of John-Francis McCready, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 7th February 2026. May he rest in peace.
Late of 2 Glengalliagh Park. May he rest in peace.
Beloved husband of Margaret. Devoted father of Denis. Loving grandfather of Aoife. Much-loved brother of Joseph, Bridie, Margaret and the late Anne. Cherished son of the late Thomas and Sarah-Jane McCready. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends.
John's remains will be reposing at the McClafferty Funeral Home and Chapel of Rest on Monday evening, 9th February from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, 10th February at 9:30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the family plot in Altnagelvin Cemetery.
