John Herbert (Bertie) LONG
Long John Herbert (Bertie) December 2nd 2025, peacefully at Foyle Hospice (surrounded by his loving family in his 82nd year) much loved dad of Gary, Darren, Kendra, Ryan and Christopher, loving father-in-law of Millie, Carolina, Mark, Alison and Mia, adored granda of Cassandra, Nicole, Vida, Isaac, Karl, Kelsey Erin, Bredin, Jack and the late Jacqueline, a dear brother of Cecil and the late Jean and Raymond and ex-wife Joyce.
Funeral leaving his late home 49 Duncastle Park, Newbuildings on Friday 5th December at 12.15pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Glendermott Parish Church at 1.00pm, burial afterwards in Altnagelvin Cemetery.
Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired (cheques made payable) to Foyle Hospice c/o Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Londonderry BT48 6JE.
Everyone is welcome to call at the family home on Wednesday from 6.00pm until 8.00pm Thursday from 2.00pm until 8.00pm
Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his many friends and entire family circle.
