Passed away peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital on 22nd January 2026.

Loving son of Eunice and the late John Milliken. Brother to Priscilla and Howard and brother-in-law to Joan. Uncle to Howard, Rebeccah, Laura, Nadia, Beth, Christina and the late Jonathan.

A service of Thanksgiving for John’s life will be held in S&J Irvine’s Funeral Home, 31-35 Irish Quarter South Carrickfergus BT38 8BL on Saturday 24th January 2026 at 1.30 p.m. and afterwards to Victoria Cemetery for approximately 2.30 p.m.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired to Parkinson’s UK c/o S&J Irvine 31-35 Irish Quarter South, Carrickfergus, BT38 8BL (cheques made payable to the above charity please; card payments welcome via telephone on 028 9335 1540 Mon-Fri 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Cash donations also welcome.)

John’s family would like to thank the staff of the Accident and Emergency department, the staff of ward A4, Ursula of the palliative care team and Chaplin Rev. Moore at Antrim Area Hospital.

John will be lovingly remembered and missed by the entire family circle.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23 v 4
