The death has occurred of:
John (The Baker) O'Neill
The family of the late John O’Neill would like to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with us during the recent sad bereavement of our loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother in law and uncle.
We are most grateful to our wider family, friends, and neighbours for their kindness and support. We would like to thank everyone who called to the house, telephoned, sent mass and sympathy cards, messages, flowers, and to those who attended the wake and funeral. Your thoughtfulness brought us great comfort and strength at such a difficult time.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the Lineside Health Centre and Acute Care Team, as well as Anns Homecare staff who cared for John with such compassion and dedication.
Thanks to St Vincent de Paul, Springisland Supermarket, and to everyone who brought food and equipment to the house, your generosity was overwhelming.
We are especially grateful to Canon Benny Fee for his tremendous support throughout, and for the beautiful Requiem Mass celebrating John. To Fr John McCallion, Margaret Taggart the sacristan for preparing the chapel, and to Siobhan Robinson for providing such beautiful music, thank you so much.
Thanks also to Gillprint for providing Johns Requiem mass booklets, Eden Blooms for the beautiful wreaths, Gary Harte for preparing Johns final resting place, and The Gables restaurant, Carland, for providing the lovely after Funeral meal.
A very special word of thanks to Patsy and Edel at Taggart Funeral Services for the compassionate and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, and the support and guidance they gave the family throughout and since has been greatly appreciated.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
Johns Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 16th October, at 7.30pm, in St Patricks Church, Clonoe.
St Padre Pio pray for him.
