Acknowledgement

John ALLEN

Died 19th March 2023

We, the family of John Allen, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who have sympathised with us on the loss of our beloved Husband, Dad, Grandad, Father-in-Law and Brother.

A Special Thanks to our extended family members who helped us care for John in his final weeks and who have remained a pillar of strength to us since.

Thank You to everyone who called to the wake, sent Mass and Sympathy cards, provided food and attended the house, mass and cremation. Thank You also to all who extended their sympathies and prayers from afar. Your empathy, thoughts and memories shared are truly treasured.

We would like to especially Thank the entire team at Quayside Medical Practice, particularly the District Nursing Team who attended the house daily; to Foyle Hospice, who’s care, and support has proved invaluable to us as a family and to Marie Curie, whose guidance and support could never be quantified.

A huge Thank You to all that have made donations to both Foyle Hospice and Marie Curie in John’s memory.

To Fr Gerard Mongan. The Peace received from John’s Beautiful Requiem Mass has proven immeasurable to our family. Thank You for the support in John’s dying hours and in the days after, across the wake and in the preparation of, and delivery of the funeral mass. Thank You to Isabelle, Caroline, and Ona for the stunning music and to all of John’s Grandchildren whose contribution made the Mass especially personal.

Finally, a huge extension of gratitude to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors and the Team at Lakelands Crematorium. Your dignity and professionalism over the course of the wake, funeral and cremation has been second to none. To Kieran Dunne at Bradley & McLaughlin, we are especially grateful.

It is Impossible to Thank each and everyone individually. The community support and love for John was tangible throughout our most difficult time. Please accept this post as an extension of our sincere Thanks and Appreciation.
