John BREEN

It is with heartfelt gratitude that I wish to thank all who supported us during John's illness and during our bereavement. My son. nieces, grandchildren, friends and lovely neighbours for their relentless support, emotional and practical, throughout John's illness, wake and funeral. Niall, Gerald, Honor, Joe, Rachael and Michelle. Janine who so generously looked after Finn, our Jack Russell, for the last months of John's illness.

Dr. O'Donnell (who experience, knowledge and prompt action gave John probably a few more months) and his team at Park Medical for their support and care. The District Nurses who were always there.

Karen and Helen, Cancer Nurse Specialists at the NW Cancer Centre for their compassionate ongoing care and support and guidance. Dr. Bryson, Oncologist, for his very considerate care and support.

Pamela and her team from the Foyle Hospice Community Service for their dedication and care given with love and respect. The Foyle Hospice Residential team for the exceptional care given to John during his last days, compassion and empathy for not only John but for all of us who loved him and were there to ease his journey home.

The Pink Ladies Cancer Support Group for their loving care and support throughout John's illness, wake and funeral. The Bryson team of carers who called with him every day and cared for him in a dignified manner. Stephanie, Chloe, Caoimhe and Finnuala. MacMillan Cancer Support for their practical help and advice.

Ambulance transport for their compassion and sensitivity in getting John to the Hospice as comfortably as possible.

The staff and locals in Jack's Bar, especially Toni and Tony for their kindness to John and myself during his visits for the best Guinness in Derry and Donegal.

Friends and relatives at home and abroad for their prayers and ongoing support, and those who attended the Mass and Funeral and those who travelled from Belfast, Enniskillen and Falcarragh. We take strength from your support.

Fr. Mongan, St. Columba's, Longtower, for celebrating the Holy Mass and for delivering the eulogy so thoughtfully and for his attendance at the funeral and for his sensitivity to all of us grieving. Erin Carlin for the beautiful singing and music. John would have loved it.

My Bible Study group for their constant prayers and ongoing support, Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their expert help given with courtesy, sympathy, kindness and efficiency. Their help was priceless during this time of grief for the family.

Many thanks too for the Mass offerings and cards and letters of sympathy which always lend strength and blessings.

We will always remember John as a loving husband, father, stepfather and a much loved granda and uncle.

ALL WILL BE WELL
