McAteer, John - R.I.P. 8 Kelly’s Road, Killean, County Armagh BT35 8RY. 24th September 2026, peacefully at Evora Hospice. Beloved husband of the late Josie, much loved dad of Frank, Martin, Eamon and the late Margaret (Mags), loving grandad to Rachel and Daniel, great-grandad to Eva and a dear father-in-law to Mary and Marion.

John’s remains will be removed from McGennity's Funeral Home on Saturday (26th September) at 1pm to his late residence where he will repose until 9pm on Saturday evening and from 1-9pm on Sunday (27th September). Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday (28th September) at 11am in St. Michael’s church, 39 Clontigora Road, Killean, Newry BT35 8RR. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.

Very deeply regretted by his extended family circle, friends and neighbours.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Evora Hospice c/o the donations box in the family home or any family member.

May he rest in peace.
