Acknowledgement/ Month Mind Mass

John Murphy
Died 25th December 2025

We the family of the late John Murphy would like to express our sincere gratitude for all the kindness and support shown during our recent loss.

We would like to thank everyone including family, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral, sent messages, cards, flowers and donations in lieu to Evora Hospice. To those who brought refreshments, your kindness was very much appreciated. Thank you to Atticall GAC & An Riocht GAC for their help and support. Thanks to Fr. Cahill, Fr. Dillion & Fr. Hennity for attending the wake and leading prayers.

We would like to say a word of thanks to the professionals involved in the care of John in his final weeks, all the staff at Kilkeel Medical Practice, Craigavon Area Hospital and Evora Hospice Newry who attended to John with such respect, care and compassion.

Special thanks to Fr. Cahill for visiting John at home and a heartfelt thank you for the unexpected visit to the hospice on Christmas Day, we are so very grateful. Thanks to Fr. Cahill for the lovely mass and to Linda Gawley for the beautiful singing of Christmas hymns. Thanks also to everyone who carried John to his final resting place.

Sincere thanks to Nick, Roy and Paul of Nicholas Doran Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which John’s wake and funeral were carried out.

Please accept this acknowledgement of sincere gratitude as it’s impossible to thank everyone who supported us.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place in St Colman’s Massforth, on Saturday 24th January 2026 at 7.00pm.
