Tullyglushnevin, Tynan
27 July 2026
The family of the late Joe McDonald would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us, sent Mass and sympathy cards, called at the wake and family home. Your support was a great comfort to us during our bereavement. We are also deeply grateful to all who donated to the Tynan Surgery Comfort Fund in memory of Joe.
We would like to thank our neighbours and friends who helped at the family home in preparing for Joe’s return. Your help and support were greatly appreciated.
Our sincere thanks to all the staff at Tynan Surgery and Tynan Pharmacy, and also to the team of carers who tended to Joe and enabled him to pass peacefully at home. We are deeply grateful for the care, compassion and kindness shown to Joe and our family.
We extend special thanks to Martin McCann and Fr Sean Moore for all their support and help with the funeral Mass, and to Fr Sean for his thoughtful eulogy. Thank you also to Zoe, John, Fiona and Eóin for providing the beautiful music, to the Eucharistic Ministers, and to Brian for his beautiful reflection.
Our sincere thanks to E.C. Hughes Undertakers – Martin, Paddy and Eamon – who looked after all aspects of Joe’s funeral in such a professional and dignified manner, and to the gravediggers for the care taken in preparing Joe’s final resting place.
Thank you also to The Market House and McEntees for providing refreshments after the funeral.
Finally, to everyone who helped or supported us in any way, you know who you are – thank you so much.
Joe’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 29th August at 12 noon.
