Joy BROWN (née Rooney)
Brown (née Rooney) Joy died January 5th 2026 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of James, loving mother of Stephen, Angela, Paula and William, devoted grandmother of Paul, Patrick, James, Danielle, Cara, Liam and the late Martin R.I.P., much loved great grandmother of Amelia, Brody and Arthur and treasured sister of Tommy, and the late Patrick, Francis and James R.I.P.
Her remains will repose in her late residence 6 Marguerite Avenue, Newcastle, tomorrow (Wednesday) from 4pm until 6pm for Family and close friends. Requiem Mass for Joy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am in Our lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle, burial afterwards in St Patrick’s cemetery Bryansford.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, son-in-law Colin, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, extended family members Keely and Kitty, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.
