We the family of Karen Cassidy (Owens) wish to express our sincere appreciation to our family, friends, colleagues and neighbours who sympathised with us on the loss of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunty. Your love, kindness and support give us great comfort and strength at this sad time.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent cards or flowers, or made donations to Friends of Altnagelvin (Sperrin Suite). We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Father Shaun Doherty for officiating the Requiem Mass and to Joanne K, Lorraine, Paula, Joanne O, Aaron, Conal, Pauline and Susan for their participation. To Sinead and Isobel many thanks for their beautiful singing and music.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Karen's aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, and friends for their assistance with refreshments and care during the wake. We also thank the staff of the Branch Bar and Grill for their exemplary service in providing the funeral lunch.
Many thanks to the paramedics and A&E staff who assisted Karen on her final day, as well as Dr. Malek, Karen Harpar, Helen McCormack, Sperrin Room staff (North West Cancer Centre), District Nurses, Dr. Ryan Power and Creggan Family Practice staff for their kind and compassionate care.
Finally, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone at W J O’Brien and Son for their expert guidance, respect and professionalism.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude.
Mass in memory of Karen will be celebrated at 6:15pm on Saturday 16th May in St Eugene’s Cathedral.
