Kathleen (Kate) KEYES

Kathleen (Kate) Keyes, formerly of 66 Shandon Park, Omagh, Co. Tyrone. Died 13th June 2025

The family of the late Kate Keyes would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Kate was a widely respected lady and a beloved Wife, a dearly loved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, and loyal Friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass Cards or Sympathy cards, sent Flowers or donations in lieu of flowers, and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thank you to everyone who called to our Home during the wake, who brought food, made tea and looked after everyone during the wake and those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass.

Sincere thanks to all our families, relatives, friends and neighbours who helped our family in so many ways to grieve our sudden loss. In particular we would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to the Ambulance Paramedics who attended to Kate at her home and brought her to the Hospital, to the Hospital Doctors and Nurses who cared for Kate at the South West Acute Hospital.

A special word of thanks to the Shandon Park Community for their kind assistance during the wake and for their Guard of Honour for Kate, to both Omagh St. Enda’s Committee and Club and Drumragh Sarsfields Committee and Club for their kind assistance during the Wake and for the Guard of Honour at the Church and to Rev Fr Eugene Hassan P.P. for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our musicians Shaunagh Poyntz and Eamon McElholm who provided the beautiful music.

Sincere thanks to Jay and Jackie from J. Maguire Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner to which the funeral arrangements were conducted and for the beautiful flower arrangements and to the gravedigger Ciaran Maguire for preparing Kate’s final resting place. Our sincere thanks also to Connor Quinn and the Coach Inn for their assistance during the wake and for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

As a family we are overwhelmed by the support and generosity from so many people including those who travelled afar and as it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Kate is forever loved and sadly missed; may her gentle, kind, and generous soul be granted eternal rest. Kate’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in The Sacred Heart Church, Omagh on Friday 11th July at 7.30pm and everyone is very welcome to attend.

Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.
