Died 30th March 2026

We, the family of the late Kathleen McGinty, who passed away on 30th March 2026, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours, and the wider community for their prayers, sympathies, and condolences on the loss of our greatly loved mother, nana, sister, and friend. We are deeply grateful for the comforting words, thoughtful gestures, and genuine acts of kindness shown to us during this sad and difficult time.

A heartfelt word of thanks is extended to Fr Joe Gormley for celebrating a beautiful funeral and Requiem Mass, and for his compassion, visits, and spiritual support to Kathleen and our family over the years.

We sincerely thank all who were involved in the Mass, especially the readers, and Fidelma Legge for the beautiful and uplifting music.

We are extremely grateful to the wonderful staff of Ward 4 in Altnagelvin Hospital, and to the carers from Bryson Care and North West Care, who treated Kathleen with dignity, gentleness, and compassion throughout their time caring for her.

Finally, we wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to W. J. O’Brien and Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the professional, respectful, and caring manner in which they carried out Kathleen’s funeral arrangements.

Kathleen (“Kay”) was an amazing woman, and we were truly blessed by the love and support of so many kind family members and friends who came together to celebrate her wonderful life.

Kathleen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty, on Thursday 30th April 2026 at 7.15pm. All are very welcome.

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
