Kathleen Breen
Carrowshee Park,
Lisnaskea.
The family of the late Kathleen Breen wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone who offered their sympathies and support to us during our recent bereavement. We are truly grateful to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, including those who travelled long distances to be with us; to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of condolence and to those who made donations to Oak HLC, in Mum’s memory. Your kindness, prayers and support have brought us great comfort. Our heartfelt thanks go to our extended family, friends and neighbours for their generosity, unfailing kindness and the outstanding support they gave to us in so many ways during this time, including catering, babysitting, and gritting the icy paths and roads. We also wish to thank the many family and friends who provided Mum with great friendship, support and companionship throughout her life – particularly in recent years and during her final hospital stay. Your presence and kindness, along with all the fun and laughter, meant a great deal to her and to us. Heartfelt gratitude to Canon Jimmy McPhillips (along with his pastoral team) and Fr. Aidan McCrystal for the most beautiful, personal and fitting Funeral Mass, to Maria Connolly and Karen McElroy for the uplifting music, to the Eucharistic Ministers, and to all who participated so graciously in the Funeral Mass and guards of honour by Carrosyl, Oak HLC and 4th Fermanagh Scouts. A special word of thanks is also extended to Carrosyl Community Association and St. Mary’s Hall Committee for kindly providing refreshments following the burial. Our sincere appreciation to Rev. Fr. Daniel McFaul, Very Rev. Fr. Kevin McElhennon and Very Rev. Canon Jimmy McPhillips who visited Mum and administered sacraments during her stay in hospital which gave us all great comfort and support. We are grateful to Mum’s G.P.s and healthcare teams for their dedication and compassion: the oncology team at Belfast City Hospital in particular; Dr. McGivern and Dr. Baird, the Paramedics, all staff at the Emergency Department SWAH, all staff at Ward 23 Altnagelvin. Our thanks further extend to all in the Palliative Care team in Omagh who looked after Mum with the utmost compassion, dignity and respect in her final days. We extend our sincere thanks to Ollie, Ann, Leo and Conor at Swift & McCaffrey Funeral Directors for their guidance, pastoral care, dignity and compassion with which everything was handled and to those who prepared Mum’s final resting place with such attention and care. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.
Kathleen’s Month’s Mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 1st February at 11:00am in Holy Cross Church, Lisnaskea.
