Kathleen Nelson

Acknowledgement

The family of the late Kathleen Nelson would like to express their sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement. Those who called at the home, telephoned, sent cards or messages of sympathy, attended the funeral or helped in any way. In particular the members of Second Castlederg Presbyterian Church who made a huge effort to prepare the church which had been undergoing renovation works for the funeral service. Also, her friends in the P.W. who did a tremendous job providing the catering in the church hall following the committal.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to those who helped make mums later life more comfortable. To her good friends who called weekly to have a chat and keep her up to date with what was happening in the church and extended family. She really looked forward to those visits and phone calls. Thanks also to mum’s nieces and nephews, those who were able to call in or phone and those further afield who have recalled happy memories of time spent with mum and dad.
Reluctant at first to accept outside care, mum came to treasure her morning and latterly evening visits from the care plus team. Our thanks also to the district nursing team, particularly Roisin and Donna who could not have been more caring and responsive to mum’s needs in her last days.
We would also like to sincerely thank all the medical professionals who cared for mum. From all the GPs in Castlederg to the I.S.L.D team in Omagh, the Foyle Hospice Palliative Team, district social workers and all the associated specialists.
Our thanks to Reverend Robert McFaul for a very thoughtful, befitting funeral service. Special thanks to Reverend Steve Gaston for the kindness he extended to mum and for being with her at the time of her passing.
Our deepest appreciation to Derek and Robert of Armstrong Funeral Directors for their attention to everything regarding mum’s funeral. All was conducted in a very professional and supportive manner.
Our thanks and gratitude go out to so many people for their kindness to mum. It would be impossible to name them all here so we ask that this is taken as acknowledgment of same.
And finally, thanks to those who have given donations in lieu of flowers to Second Castlederg Presbyterian Church and Pulmonary Fibrosis N.I.
