Kathleen Telford (Nee Hurle)
Died: 24th September 2024
We, the children and extended family of the late Kathleen Telford (R.I.P.) wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us following the sad loss of our much-loved mother, mother-in-law and sister. We are deeply grateful for all the love and kindness shown by family, friends, and the wider community. Thank you to all who attended the wake, sent mass & sympathy cards, messaged, sent flowers, brought food, attended the funeral sand watched on-line.
Special word of thanks to all who helped at the wake and after the funeral, especially Damien Robinson, Eileen Hurle and the McKeown and Magee families for their hard work. Thank you to Tom Maughan for allowing visitors to park on his land and for being a good neighbour to Mummy. Thank you also to Nora Dynes and Herron's shop for their kindness in the hours after Mummy's passing and to Naomi Dorrity and Annagher Filling Services for the lovely food for the wake and after the funeral.
Thanks also to Marie Galvin and Na Fianna GAC, and Tony Carberry and the Brackaville Owen Roes GFC for the use of their equipment and the Brackaville club for the use of their premises after the funeral.
We are very grateful to Fr. Eugene O'Neill for the beautiful requiem mass and his spiritual support of Mummy in her last weeks. Thank you also to Canon Benny Fee for attending Mummy in her last hours and for the support and comfort shown to us. We are also very thankful to the readers, gift bearers, Eucharistic Minister, pallbearers and sacristan Paddy Gates who helped make Mummy's requiem mass so special. A special word of thanks to Damien Donnelly & Lorna Gervin for the beautiful music which provided much comfort. Thank you to Gary Harte, gravedigger for preparing Mummy's final resting place.
A particular word of thanks to Peter Devlin and colleagues from Michael Dorman & Son Undertakers for their professionalism and compassion during Mummy's wake and funeral.
We cannot thank Dr's Bernie Mitchel and Rebecca McKenna enough for their extraordinary care of Mummy and unwavering support of us throughout Mummy's illness. Their dedication, support and guidance were fundamental in helping us fulfil Mummy's wishes to remain at home.
Likewise, we do not have the words to thank Coalisland District Nursing Team who attended Mummy daily in her final weeks and ensured her comfort. Not only did they care for her with much compassion and kindness, they provided us as a family with much needed support. We will be forever grateful for the dedication of Niamh Carberry, Niamh McGurk, Aisling Loughran, Margaret Agnew, Monica Logan, Maxine McNamee, Tanya Shaw, John Donaghy and Norma.
We will also be eternally grateful to the Southern Trust Domiciliary Care Team who attended Mummy in her final months and who fit into her life like family. Their sensitive and compassionate care enabled us to look after Mummy at home, giving her the comfort and dignity she deserved. A special thanks to those carers who attended Mummy in her final weeks:- Craig Carson, Jessica Carson, Emma Thompson, Denise Archer, Lisa O'Neill, Olivia McCaffrey, Laura Quinn, Fionnnula Quinn, Rachael Wilson, Eva Daly and Dianne Carey.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest esteem and appreciation to all who supported our family in any way.
May her gentle, kind, and generous soul rest in peace.
Kathleen's month's mind mass will be celebrated on Friday 24th October at 7:30pm in St. Mary & St. Joseph's Church, Brackaville, Coalisland.
