Acknowledgement – Laurence Gallagher

We, the family of the late Laurence Gallagher, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks
to everyone who supported us following the sad loss of our
much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended Laurence’s wake and funeral,
called to our home, brought food, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolence,
sent flowers or kept us in their thoughts and prayers.
To our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped and supported us in so many ways
during the wake and throughout this difficult time, we thank you sincerely.
Your kindness, generosity and support brought us great comfort and will always be remembered.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to those who travelled from near and far to be with us,
and to everyone who offered their support, whether in person, by telephone,
through messages or simply by keeping Laurence and our family in their prayers.
A special word of thanks to Melmount Takeaway and Riverview Takeaway
for their very generous donations throughout the wake
and to Lisnafin Ardnalee Trust Community Centre for the loan of their seats and catering equipment.
Your kindness and generosity were greatly appreciated by our family.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the amazing Carers who cared for Laurence throughout his illness.
We are also very grateful to the ambulance personnel, first responders, and everyone involved in his care.
We will always be eternally grateful for the compassion, dignity, kindness and care shown to Laurence
and to our family during such a difficult time.
We are especially grateful to Fr. Seán O’Donnell for his prayers, kindness and support during Laurence’s illness
and throughout his wake and funeral. We thank him for the beautiful Funeral Mass and for the comfort and compassion
he showed to our family.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to everyone who participated in the Funeral Mass,
including beautiful music by Blondie and Brian Lindsay, readings, offertory and anyone who assisted in any way during the liturgy. Your contribution helped make Laurence’s final farewell a beautiful and fitting celebration of his life.
We would like to sincerely thank Jude and all the staff at T. Quigley & Son Funeral Directors for their compassion, professionalism, dignity and care throughout this difficult time. Their guidance, support and attention to detail helped make an unbearable time that little bit easier for our family, and we will always be grateful.
To everyone who visited Laurence during his illness especially his long-term
friend Joe Deans, all that attended his wake and funeral, phoned, sent messages, offered prayers, brought food, sent cards or flowers, or simply stood by us during our loss,
thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Every act of kindness and support meant more than words can say.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere expression of our deepest appreciation and gratitude to everyone who supported us
and showed such kindness to Laurence and our family during this heart breaking time.

Laurence’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Melmount Chapel
on Tuesday, 18th August 2026 at 7.00pm.

May Laurence’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
