Matthews (née Kane), Lilian - R.I.P. Formerly of Clanrye Avenue, Newry. 12th March 2023, peacefully at Southern Area Hospice, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved mummy of Nicola, Donna, Colleen and Valerie, devoted nanny to Simon, Eugene, Eoin, Molly, Lily, Jennifer, Kira and Saorlaith, great-nanny to Amelia, predeceased by her parents PJ and Lily and her deceased brothers and sisters.


Lilian’s remains are reposing at her daughter Valerie’s home, 10 Parkhead Crescent, Newry. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12.30pm on Thursday (16th March) in St. Catherine’s church, Dominic Street, Newry. Cremation to follow at Dardistown crematorium, Dublin.


Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.


Very deeply regretted by her heartbroken daughters, grandchildren, great grand-daughter, brothers Philip and James, sisters Madge, Bronagh and Paula, sons-in-law Collie and Mark, Colleen’s partner Stephen and the extended family circle.


Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Southern Area Hospice c/o the donations box in the home or any family member.
